A Minnetonka family asked us to transform their dark, narrow children’s bath by introducing more light, improving function and selecting finishes that would simultaneously please their five-year-old son (loves Legos, Star Wars and battleships) and their 13-year-old daughter (loves pink, her iPod and primping). A cheerful finish palette was selected to brighten while remaining gender neutral. The $20/sq. ft. colorful glass mosaic tile was close enough to the $95/sq. ft. tile our clients “loved” – meeting both budget and dual gender needs while giving the room its playful character. Polished chrome hardware lends a touch of sophistication. The retro pendant was introduced to compliment other fixtures in the home. A dual flush toilet from Toto was recommended to help conserve water in what is surely the most used bath in the house! Featured in Kitchen & Bath Makeovers magazine.
Hear what our clients had to say after the remodel was complete:
"We hired DiGiacomos for our kitchen remodel and had a set budget. Rocky and Gigi came in with great ideas, helped design a plan that we loved and looked for ways to cut costs to keep the project within our budget. Their knowledge of trends and the little fun details they incorporated in the plan have made the kitchen our favorite place in the whole house. We love the outcome and would work with them again in a heartbeat!" - Project Homeowner.
This project won the 2012 Contractor of the Year (COTY) Award for Residential Baths.
