Urban Cabin
This urban cabin solved one family's desire to eliminate long weekends spent traveling to/from a place "up north." With the room's entrance and view oriented entirely away from the main house, this new space is set apart and feels worlds away … in a Minnetonka backyard.
Steep rooflines, a majestic stone fireplace, terracotta finishes, and hewn timbers honor the CCC-era architecture of our national park lodges. High-function features include his-and-hers reading lights, a mini refrigerator (tucked behind framed photos) and a portico overlooking the newly landscaped waterfall. This family easily retreats to their "cabin" every summer evening.
