Main Floor Remodel: Warm Kitchen & Laundry

Featured on the spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Tour, this 300 SF main floor kitchen, mudroom, and laundry area remodel is bathed in southern sunshine, task lighting, and a soothing palette of natural, airy finishes. Hidden behind the cabinets and tucked into unexpected places, however, is high function storage and what our clients call "hidden luxuries" such as built-in knife slots, a bread-keeper drawer, vertical baking sheet storage, an authentic slate chalkboard, and a full blown "baking center". The baking center counter is set at 32" (four inches lower than standard counter height) to allow for efficient rolling of pie crusts and cookie dough. Cabinetry below the baking center counter is sized to accommodate the professional Kitchen Aid stand mixer and other baking essentials. Full-extension roll-out drawers and pantry create efficient storage. A bakers dream!
