The upper level family room is a client favorite and now a standard in most of our new homes. It's a comfortable, relaxed space central to all bedrooms where family members can settle in for the evening to watch the news, sprawl with a book, or catch up on homework in the adjoining sitting room — together.
Bookshelves, tucked around the corner and out of sight from the sitting room, line the children's bedroom hall — making efficient use of an otherwise "dead" space for media and toy storage. A bank of south-facing windows flood the entire space with natural light. Grasscloth paper, coffee-colored flooring, soft gray walls and crisp white enamel panels suggest a cozy yet sophisticated palette.
The best part? Media, lighting, climate, and security can be controlled by the wall-docked iPad (or iPhone).
